CNC Set-Up Machinist/All Shifts (1st shift: 6am-2pm, 2nd shift: 2pm-10pm & 3rd shift: 10pm-6am, Sunday-Thursday)
Cornerstone Composites, Inc., is a contract molding company that makes components for a wide variety of manufacturers including transportation, industrial applications, appliance/kitchen, and water management. Nearly 50% of the components produced are used in electrical power applications. Today, the company continues to provide outstanding customer service and high-quality thermoset products to numerous industries.
Cornerstone Composites, Inc. located on the north side of Milwaukee, has an immediate need for a CNC Set-up/Machinist. The primary function of the CNC Machinist is setting up and running jobs that have been documented and run previously.
Primary Responsibilities:
Set-up CNC equipment including, but not limited to Bridgeport Mills, Vertical Machining Center, Lathes, Waterjet
Locate Tooling offsets with indicators, edge finders or similar methods
Touch-off tools in specified locations
Follow previously created documentation for set-up of fixtures
Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings
Ability to use handheld measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, height gages, etc.)
Following instruction sheets complete documentation as needed
Make adjustments to offsets based on dimensional results
Routine maintenance of machinery
Complete assembly and finishing as needed to complete the part/assembly
Running multiple pieces of machinery
Works Independently with minimal direction
Qualifications (To be considered for this opportunity, you must possess most of the following):
Prior experience setting up CNC equipment
Some knowledge of tooling and fixtures
Detail orientated team player
Ability to communicate with team members
Ability to train coworkers on processes
Physical Qualifications
Work requires physical effort and the use of motor skills requiring manual dexterity. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, push/pull, or balance weight for extended periods of time.
Must be able to have the mobility to move and rotate from workstation to workstation.
Must frequently lift, push, or pull boxes/merchandise weighing between 30 to 75 pounds.
Must be able to stand for a minimum of 8 hours
